About the Role

As an Audiologist at University Hospitals, you will play a critical role in providing a continuum of Audiology services that include the prevention, identification, diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of patients with hearing or communication impairments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Evaluation and Management (55%): Conduct thorough patient evaluations, interpret findings, and develop effective management plans to address hearing or communication impairments.
  • Patient Treatment (25%): Provide evidence-based treatment options to patients, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other auditory rehabilitation strategies.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping (5%): Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Use (5%): Ensure the proper use and maintenance of Audiology equipment, including hearing tests and other diagnostic tools.
  • Advanced Audiologist Duties (10%): Participate in program development, student preceptorship, and other advanced Audiologist duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Comply with all University Hospitals policies and standards.
  • Refer to departmental documentation provided during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
  • Adhere to all requirements for safely and securely maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
