The Audiologist is responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of Audiology services, which encompass the prevention, identification, diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of individuals experiencing hearing or communication challenges. This role may also involve contributing to infant hearing screening initiatives, program development, and mentoring of students, alongside other advanced responsibilities typical of experienced Audiologists.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting patient assessments, interpreting results, and managing care (55%).
- Implementing treatment plans for patients (25%).
- Maintaining accurate documentation (5%).
- Utilizing and maintaining equipment (5%).
- Engaging in advanced Audiologist responsibilities (10%).
- Completing other assigned tasks as necessary.
- Adhering to all organizational policies and standards.
- For detailed responsibilities, refer to departmental documentation provided during orientation.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulations regarding the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients. Annual training and adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct and policies are mandatory.
Educational Background
- Master's Degree in Audiology (Required)
- Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Preferred)
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical environment working with both adult and pediatric populations, including expertise in hearing aids, OAEs, ENGs, and evoked response audiometry (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth understanding and application of Audiology principles and practices relevant to the developmental and chronological age of patients (Required proficiency)
- Familiarity with audiometric instruments such as audiometers, audiometric booths, immittance bridges, otoacoustic emissions, electronystagmography, auditory evoked responses, VRA, and TROCA (Required proficiency)
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking

- Regular lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs
- Frequent pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs
- Occasional climbing and balancing
