Nuclear Licensing Engineer

TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Licensing Engineer to join our Natrium Licensing team. As a key member of our team, you will provide licensing support to our advanced reactor project, develop licensing documents, and support regulatory audits and engagements.
Responsibilities:- Develop and review licensing documents, including Construction Permit Applications and Operating License Applications.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to prepare responses to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) audit questions and requests for additional information.
- Interface with the Licensing Team to complete licensing tasks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with design personnel to ensure designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documentation in compliance with regulations and quality assurance standards.
- Interface with technical discipline teams at TerraPower, partners, and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Review correspondence to and from regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Develop licensing strategies to support project goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
- Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards.
- Demonstrated experience in nuclear licensing or a comparable field.
- Familiarity with 10 CFR regulations and guidance.
- Familiarity with content of 10 CFR 50 applications.
- Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Professional.
