Position Summary:
The Field Technician for Physical Security Systems delivers comprehensive technical support and assistance to end-users of physical security systems.
This position entails troubleshooting technical challenges, ensuring system reliability, and enhancing user satisfaction through effective relationship management and ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Act as the primary contact for end-users requiring assistance with technical issues related to security systems, devices, and equipment.
Oversee daily technical support operations, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and incident reports.
Conduct backup operations and assist in monitoring and maintaining servers.
Employ diagnostic tools to resolve network connectivity problems.
Collaborate with vendor support to address technical challenges.
Customer Engagement:
Provide outstanding customer service, offering educational insights and support to users.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors through effective issue resolution.
Engage in proactive communication to manage user expectations and enhance service delivery.
Process Improvement:
Utilize tools, processes, and technology effectively, continually refining and enhancing skills.
Identify opportunities for personal, team, and departmental enhancements.
Adhere to asset management protocols for inventory lifecycle management.
Recognize service delivery trends and propose improvement initiatives.
Administrative Duties:
Carry out administrative responsibilities and participate in special projects as assigned.
Maintain accurate records of technical support activities and resolutions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
Experience:
Required:
Minimum of 3 years in a technical support or customer service role, with experience in various outsourcing and service delivery models.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong customer service management skills.
Proficient in project management.
In-depth understanding of Microsoft networking environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to liaise effectively with end-users, IS staff, managers, and vendor personnel.
Experience managing vendor performance to meet contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
