Job Title: Embedded Security Systems Technician

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Security Systems Technician to join our team at Securitas Electronic Security Inc. As an Embedded Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service on our security systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control security systems.
  • Perform scheduled, routine preventive maintenance on security equipment and systems, ensuring they are in satisfactory working order.
  • Complete maintenance tasks within assigned hours, reducing emergency calls and achieving the goal of zero call backs.
  • Assist with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and adjust as needed to ensure the system is operational.
  • Plan schedules, lay out basic electrical equipment installations, and assist in the start-up and check-out of new systems installations.
  • Present a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance.
  • Perform work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
  • Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations and assist with contract retention.
  • Maintain company propriety and documentation in accordance with established policies; handle proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adhere to and support Securitas Technology policies and procedures, including all safety requirements.
  • Keep abreast of changes and new developments in products and technology.
  • Attend and complete training programs as requested.
Requirements:
  • MUST HOLD a minimum of 1-2 years of experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV security systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational/Technical Degree in electrical, security, or computer systems preferred.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of intrusion detection systems, electronic access control, CCTV, IP video, Surveillance systems, fire alarm, and life safety systems.
  • NICET Certification preferred.
  • Lenel, Pro-Watch, Software House, Picture Perfect certifications preferred.
  • Bosch, Honeywell, Radionics, or DMP system knowledge preferred.
  • Edwards/EST, Simplex, or GE / Mirtone system knowledge a plus.
  • IP Video and IT experience preferred.
  • Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height.
  • Carry items up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls.
  • A valid state driver's license, without restrictions, is required.
