About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Technology Shared Services to join our team at Arizona State University. As a key member of our Enterprise Technology organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a strategic plan for Technology Shared Services, aligning with ASU's charter and Enterprise Technology's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute a Strategic Plan: Create and implement a comprehensive plan for Technology Shared Services, focusing on outcomes, stakeholder engagement, execution, and delivery.
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Provide inspirational leadership and coaching to a team of technologists responsible for delivering and supporting a wide range of services, including collaboration tools, communication platforms, Mergers & Acquisitions, vendor relationship management, and other service delivery functions.
  • Foster a Culture of Collaboration: Encourage a culture of collaboration, empowerment, continuous improvement, continuous learning, and accountability within the team.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and technology partners across the university, to become a trusted partner.
  • Drive Strategic Direction: Establish and monitor metrics to track performance, identify strategic and tactical opportunities, and inform decision-making.
  • Navigate Leadership: Lead in a matrix organization, diplomatically driving ruthless prioritization.
  • Bring Enthusiasm and Creativity: Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a purpose-driven approach to the role.
  • Foster Culture and Engagement: Take responsibility for fostering culture, advancing values, and championing engagement in all its forms, collaborating across teams and participating in ET/ASU events and programs.
  • Demonstrate Commitment to Diversity: Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
