About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Development Manager to join our team at IQVIA. As a key member of our US Contracts team, you will play a critical role in managing, developing, and advising on contracts within our commercial services business unit.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contract Development and Management: Develop and manage a high volume of contracts for all sizes, from large complex agreements to small standard contracts, with minimal guidance and in accordance with expected turnaround times.
  • Contract Review and Negotiation: Serve as the primary point of contact for review and negotiation of standard and non-standard contracts, liaising with internal teams, including legal, finance, and other stakeholders, to efficiently close mutually acceptable agreements.
  • Contract Knowledge and Expertise: Develop a broad understanding of our US business line and each service line, including their respective products and services, through the review and preparation of agreements, as well as formal and informal learning opportunities.
  • Client Communication and Risk Management: Prepare client statements of work, amendments, and other correspondence as needed, identifying potential risks associated with terms and conditions to minimize risks for the organization and business teams.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Communicate and articulate concerns to relevant IQVIA legal and business representatives, leveraging business acumen to identify solutions to address client concerns while aligning with IQVIA business objectives.
  • Contracting Efficiency and Improvement: Identify and assist in the implementation and communication of contracting efficiencies, as appropriate, often in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contracts, preferably within a corporate legal or contracts administration department.
  • Skills: Strong project management and organizational skills, critical thinking, analytical focus, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
