About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our team at Widseth Smith Nolting and Associates. As an Architect, you will play a key role in designing and developing various building types, including schools, offices, state and municipal facilities, hospitality, industrial and institutional buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret design concepts and translate them into workable solutions, evaluating alternatives for cost-effectiveness and ensuring corrections and clarifications are made.
  • Implement all local, state, and federal applicable building codes, constructability, and architectural standards of practice.
  • Control projects from start to finish, maintaining strong documentation practices to keep within budget and deadlines.
  • Work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, balancing multiple projects and coordinating verbal and written communications with a multi-discipline team.
  • Interact with contractors and clients throughout the various phases of the project.
Requirements
  • Registered Architect in Minnesota.
  • 5-10 years' architectural design experience preferred, with the ability to showcase finished/built work.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of architecture.
  • Ability to lead teams on projects.
  • Advanced understanding of building codes, specifications, and IBC.
  • Strong Revit skills.
  • Experience with SketchUp and Lumion.
