Position Overview:
The primary objective of the Regional Sales Executive is to discover new business opportunities and promote our comprehensive suite of human resources, payroll, time tracking, and benefits management SaaS solutions. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a proactive sales environment, targeting organizations with a workforce ranging from 20 to 500 employees. Successful candidates will possess a hunter mentality, adept at generating their own leads and opportunities. A consultative sales approach, combined with exceptional prospecting abilities and a genuine enthusiasm for sales, is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
The core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Proactively generating leads through cold outreach, referrals, and leveraging personal and professional networks.
  • Assessing potential clients' requirements for Payroll, Human Resources, and related services, and effectively presenting Southland Data Processing's offerings to fulfill those needs.
  • Crafting and delivering tailored proposals while ensuring thorough follow-up throughout the sales journey. Collaborating with internal teams to facilitate a seamless transition for clients moving from their previous payroll systems to Southland Data Processing.
  • Achieving or surpassing established sales targets on a quarterly and annual basis within your designated territory.
  • Identifying potential clients through business directories, referrals from existing customers, participation in industry associations, and attendance at relevant trade events.
  • Engaging with prospective clients, providing comprehensive product information, and offering competitive pricing.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of quotes, including pricing and configurations.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends, product advancements, and competitor activities.
  • Negotiating contract terms and payment arrangements.
  • Offering ongoing support and consultation to clients post-sale to address any issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in a results-oriented, business-to-business sales role.
  • Demonstrated success in sales prospecting and closing deals.
  • Ability to excel in a competitive sales landscape.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to navigate objections and unexpected challenges throughout the sales process.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate the value of Southland Data Processing's services.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong listening abilities to accurately gauge clients' needs and expectations.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and the Internet; experience with sales automation tools is a plus.
  • A college degree is highly preferred.
