About the Role
This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing timely and effective support, guidance, and resolution to client inquiries or issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product questions, ordering, and tracking
- Enter orders into the system for billing and delivery
- Prepare quotes and coordinate mailings of literature and samples
- Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch
- Maintain a well-stocked inventory of merchandise and sales brochures
- Retrieve necessary information for the credit department
- Issue credits or debits accurately when applicable
- Manage incoming calls and voice mails
- Take sales orders from sales representatives and customers via phone, radio, email, and text message
- Assist walk-in counter customers
- Process cash payments and run credit card approvals and check approvals
- Categorize, file, scan, and maintain ship ticket copies and customer records for audit purposes
- Print and distribute e-mailed customer purchase orders
Requirements
- Experience within the Paver or Masonry business is a plus, but not mandatory
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a comparable combination of education, experience, or training in a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Good basic math skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with multi-line phone systems
- Attention to detail
- Excellent phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening
- Ability to multitask
