About the Role

This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing timely and effective support, guidance, and resolution to client inquiries or issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product questions, ordering, and tracking
  • Enter orders into the system for billing and delivery
  • Prepare quotes and coordinate mailings of literature and samples
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch
  • Maintain a well-stocked inventory of merchandise and sales brochures
  • Retrieve necessary information for the credit department
  • Issue credits or debits accurately when applicable
  • Manage incoming calls and voice mails
  • Take sales orders from sales representatives and customers via phone, radio, email, and text message
  • Assist walk-in counter customers
  • Process cash payments and run credit card approvals and check approvals
  • Categorize, file, scan, and maintain ship ticket copies and customer records for audit purposes
  • Print and distribute e-mailed customer purchase orders

Requirements

  • Experience within the Paver or Masonry business is a plus, but not mandatory
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or a comparable combination of education, experience, or training in a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good basic math skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening
  • Ability to multitask
