Job Title: Engineering Program Manager, Semi

The Engineering Program Manager, Semi is a critical role within the Autopilot and Electronic Systems Engineering Team at Tesla. This position is responsible for overseeing the development of the Semi Controller product, ensuring it meets the company's innovation goals and contributes to the transition to sustainable energy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of the Semi Controller product, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Manage the product development process from end-to-end, including planning, tracking, and execution.
  • Provide clear input and planning to the project team on schedules, issues, and deliverables related to subsystem and vehicle development.
  • Communicate engineering requirements between Supply Chain and Purchasing to facilitate material planning.
  • Consolidate inputs from across Tesla into executive reviews, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Evolve processes to increase precision and dependability while maintaining agility.
  • Lead teams with strength and confidence through rapid development cycles, changing requirements, and uncertainty.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering leads and managers to set goals and track deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product development, ideally with multiple delivered products in medium-to-high volume industry.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering, software development, and mechanical engineering processes.
  • Experience in planning activities and vendor management in an engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex development projects and identify critical elements.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally between engineering, production, and supply chain personnel.

Expected Compensation: $88,000 - $300,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
