Job Summary

The Patient Services Specialist will be responsible for performing all functions necessary to maintain the efficient workflow of the front desk receptionist duties. This role requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Document patient demographic, insurance, and financial information
  • Maintain patient charts, including creating new files and scanning files into the computer system
  • Perform clerical duties, including mail delivery, faxing, copying, and scanning
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
  • Collect co-payments or other applicable financial payments
  • Facilitate daily deposits and perform cash reconciliations
  • Maintain daily financial log and patient log
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of office experience in a healthcare setting
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
Work Environment

The Patient Services Specialist will work in a well-lit, heated, and air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
