ManTech is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician III to support the Naval Warfare Center's Underway Replenishment Division in Port Hueneme, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with UNREP equipment overhaul at the UNREP Test Site
  • Complete troubleshooting on transmissions during diagnosis and pretesting phases
  • Support government engineers in organizing and completing no-load and load testing of transmissions on the UNREP Test Site
  • Perform maintenance on equipment at the UNREP Test Site as directed
  • Become a subject matter expert in UNREP transmission maintenance and operation through on-the-job learning and training

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least one year of mechanical experience required
  • Experience communicating professionally with employees and clients
  • Experience with observing and reporting findings
  • Experience communicating with co-workers, management, and customers
  • Experience climbing ladders, pulling cable, and executing proper installation methods
  • Experience working aboard a ship, including in a shipyard environment
  • Experience working alone and as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Naval experience as a boatswain's mate or shipboard engineering type rate
  • Experience using wiring lists, schematics, blueprints, and verbal and written instructions to route, tag, test, and terminate shipboard cables
  • Experience with Shipyard and NAVSEA installation requirements and supporting documentation

Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship and a current and active US Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Ability to carry up to 50lbs
  • Ability to climb up multiple flights of stairs, planks, or galley ways
  • Ability to crawl and maneuver in confined spaces or bilge areas, if required
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to go onboard a ship in an operational and industrial environment
  • Ability to climb ladders and go through scuttles onboard vessels
  • Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license

Compensation:

The projected compensation range for this position is $51,400-$86,300.
