Job Overview

As a Compensation and Benefits Analyst at FurstStaffing, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our comprehensive benefits and compensation programs. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, you will ensure the effective administration of all employee benefit offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Human Resources Director in the daily operations of the HR department.
  • Analyze and interpret various Union/Bargaining agreements.
  • Manage the Group Health Insurance Plan, serving as the primary contact for all benefits-related inquiries from employees and retirees.
  • Facilitate benefit orientation sessions for staff, including guidance on the online enrollment process and distribution of enrollment materials.
  • Oversee the open enrollment process, ensuring accurate enrollment data in the MUNIS system and coordinating data transitions to vendors.
  • Coordinate vendor services, tracking utilization and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality customer service.
  • Assist in the annual review and modification of benefit plans, including managing vendor RFP and bidding processes.
  • Audit and process monthly invoices for all Group Health Insurance Plan vendors, maintaining comprehensive statistical data on expenses, premiums, and claims.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise job descriptions as necessary.
  • Conduct job audits and provide recommendations to the HR Director and Department Heads to ensure role consistency.
  • Maintain compliance with the EEOP, EEO4, and Affirmative Action plans.
  • Serve as a backup for the workers' compensation program.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately maintained in personnel and medical files.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS).
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources, with at least three years focused on benefits administration, is required.
