Position Overview:
This role reports directly to the Associate Director of Enrollment Operations and Data within the Law School Admissions Office. The Admissions Assistant is tasked with managing inventory, overseeing database operations, coordinating recruitment communications, and preparing admission materials. Additional responsibilities include managing student video interview invitations, responding to inquiries, and supporting front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee front desk operations, welcoming visitors and addressing prospective student inquiries during designated hours.
- Maintain and monitor office supplies, ensuring timely packing and mailing of recruitment materials while keeping essential items stocked.
- Facilitate video interview invitations via the Kira video system, updating applicant records accordingly and addressing any related questions.
- Prepare name badges, recruitment folders, admission packets, and other essential documents for admission events, collaborating with various departments as needed.
- Assist in processing applications within the admissions database, ensuring all supporting materials are attached and following up with applicants regarding any missing documents.
- Regularly review admitted applicants' files to confirm that they are aware of pending deadlines and that all communications have been received.
- Upload prospect information to the database post-recruitment events and ensure proper tracking of all relevant documents.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred; a high school diploma is required.
- Two years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
- Strong technological, operational, and customer service skills are essential.
- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required.
- Flexibility in work hours may be necessary.
Compensation:
In accordance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly wage for this position is $23.00. St. John's University considers various factors when extending an offer, including the scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, key skills, and market considerations.
Additional Information:
This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations as needed.
