The Sekou Clarke Law Group is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team in Orlando. As an Immigration Attorney, you will advocate for clients in various immigration proceedings, offer legal counsel, prepare documentation, and represent clients before government agencies and courts.
Key Responsibilities- Represent clients in immigration court, before USCIS, DHS, and other relevant agencies.
- Provide expert legal counsel on immigration issues, rights, and obligations to clients.
- Draft, review, and file immigration petitions, applications, motions, and other legal documents.
- Manage a caseload of immigration matters, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are informed of case progress.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and stay current on immigration laws and policies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
- Develop effective legal strategies and arguments to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Work closely with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys to deliver comprehensive legal services.
- Participate in community outreach efforts and educate the public on immigration law and firm services.
- Handle sensitive client information with discretion and adhere to ethical and legal confidentiality standards.
- Bachelor's degree (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to the bar in any U.S. state (Florida bar admission preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience practicing immigration law is highly desirable.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and client relationship skills.
- In-depth understanding of immigration law, procedures, and documentation.
