Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-family Superintendent to join our team at K2 Staffing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in supervising ground-up multifamily and hotel construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program to ensure a safe work environment, meeting or exceeding our company's annual incident goal.
  • Ensure project materials are supplied and work is completed in compliance with our Project Quality Program.
  • Oversee the construction process, ensuring that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, design drawings, and applicable codes.
  • Develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule, ensuring project milestones and completion dates are met.
  • Supervise field employees and sub-trades, ensuring their work is planned and performed efficiently.
  • Mentor project team members to contribute to their development and career growth.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project's ongoing progression.
  • Conduct weekly safety inspections and maintain a thorough Superintendent's daily log to track site progress, events, and inspections.
  • Establish credibility among owners, trade contractors, and other stakeholders by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in supervising ground-up multifamily and hotel construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of all trades, with the ability to read and understand specifications for all trades.
  • OSHA 10 hour training or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Project.
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Procore.
  • Experience in BIM, LEAN, and LEED practices a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work outside year-round in all types of weather conditions.
  • Availability to work extended hours as required by weather conditions or urgent circumstances.
  • Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project.
  • Hearing and visual capabilities to safely handle the hazards encountered in the work environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as encountered in the work environment.
  • Ability to raise, lower, and climb various types of ladders.
  • Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with our company and insurance carrier standards and policies.
  • Uses cellular and electronic mail communication tools effectively to remain within communication range of other company managers.
  • Leadership and motivational skills.
