Washington, Washington, D.C., United States General Motors Full time
Job Description

Are you a marketing professional looking for a challenging role that will allow you to drive business growth through innovative marketing strategies? Do you have a passion for traditional media and a proven track record of success in media buying and planning?

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the execution of large-scale media buying initiatives, ensuring that General Motors' brand presence is optimized across all traditional media channels. Your strategic approach and negotiation skills will help maximize media investments and strengthen partnerships across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Planning & Coordination: Develop and coordinate multi-country traditional media plans, ensuring a consistent approach across our European markets while tailoring strategies to local market needs.
  • Pan-European Deals: Work closely with key media players to negotiate pan-European deals that deliver value and maximize media efficiency.
  • Media Partner Relationships: Own and manage relationships with media partners, acting as the key point of contact to maintain and build strong partnerships.
  • Best Practices & Innovation: Set best practices for traditional media buying while driving innovation through a test-and-learn agenda to explore new opportunities across OOH, TV, and Print.
  • Media Agency & Vendor Negotiations: Lead negotiations with media agencies and vendors, securing the best deals and ensuring alignment with General Motors' overall media strategy.
  • Global/Regional/Local Media Buying Projects: Identify, manage, and steer media buying projects at global, regional, and local levels, ensuring alignment and maximizing impact.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Traditional Media Expertise: Proven experience in buying across Out of Home, TV, and Print media, with a solid understanding of the nuances in each channel. Experience in CTV is a bonus.
  • Local Expertise: Knowledge about the local media landscape in at least some of our core markets of France, DACH, and Sweden.
  • Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex media deals, including agency/vendor contracts, bonus structures, and long-term partnerships.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media partners, agencies, and vendors to drive successful outcomes.
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Experience setting best practices, creating test-and-learn agendas, and evaluating the performance of traditional media campaigns to optimize results.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple large-scale media buying projects simultaneously.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with global, regional, and local teams to ensure alignment on media strategies and projects.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping General Motors' traditional media strategies across Europe. If you are passionate about traditional media, strategic in your approach, and ready to take ownership of high-impact projects, we'd love to hear from you.
