Medical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing moderate and high complexity testing.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and quality control
- Handle and transport specimens, ensuring proper identification and handling
- Communicate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate test results
- Identify and troubleshoot test system issues, taking corrective action as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes and patient care
- Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution
- Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
St. David's Medical Center is a 435-bed facility offering specialized care in neurology, neurosurgery, cardiac services, bariatric surgery, orthopedics, maternity and newborn services, and rehabilitation.
