Job Summary

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Southwest Tennessee Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Early Childhood Education and contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Early Childhood Education, including curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection and career development.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience in higher education or one year of teaching experience and three years of experience in the field.
  • Knowledge of current teaching and learning strategies, including technology integration and student-centered learning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position, which means that the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses on a term-by-term basis. The position may involve teaching at multiple campus locations.
