We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Services Associate to join our team at Penn Medicine. As a key member of our clinical support staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care:
- Room patients promptly and efficiently, using electronic medical records to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Observe patient condition and communicate any abnormal data or changes to providers.
- Assist patients with walking, transfers, and other needs as required.
- Clinical and Administrative Duties:
- Perform clinical and administrative tasks as a Medical Assistant and Patient Services Associate, as determined by the practice.
- Assist with minor surgical procedures, EKGs, and other outpatient screening tests as per MD order.
- Respond to emergency/code situations and maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Clerical and Other Accountabilities:
- Provide responsive and proactive telephonic patient care, including care coordination with specialists and ancillary services.
- Obtain and scan documents as required, complete medical forms, and prepare patient correspondence.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments, collecting copays, and updating appointment status in electronic medical records.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- MA certification required within 90 days of hire (if position is in PA).
- High school diploma/GED and 2+ years of medical office experience or customer service experience required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
