Job Title: Compensation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compensation Specialist to join our accounting department at an established firm in the Hartford area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate employee timesheets for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely payroll processing.
  • Calculate weekly pay, including overtime, holiday, sick time, and vacation pay, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain accurate and compliant employee payroll records, including tax forms and W2s.
  • Filing relevant reports and documents as needed to meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior work experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar position is required.

The estimated salary range for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
