Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Advancing CT Together. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing various financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Accounting or two years of accounting experience. You should have proficiency with Excel and accounting software, such as Abila MIP. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.

As a Financial Operations Specialist, your duties will include processing weekly accounts payable invoices and checks, coding entries to appropriate expense accounts, cost centers, and funding sources. You will also maintain accounts payables records, including verification of EINs with the IRS.

In addition to accounts payable, you will be responsible for recording weekly receipts, making bank deposits and intra-bank transfers, and recording receipt information against contracts and grant payments. You will also assist with financial reporting, maintaining records of expenditures for Client Assistance programs, and preparing documents required for annual audits.
