Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Assistant to support our production team. This role will report directly to the Production Head and play a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations within our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and issue new purchase orders.
- Revise purchase orders and ensure compliance requirements are met by all factories upon order issuance.
- Analyze production Work In Progress (WIP) reports against production schedules and shipment tracking, updating shipment statuses in the Simparel system.
- Provide detailed accessory and packing/shipping instruction requirements to vendors, ensuring prior approval before production commences.
- Collaborate with technical and design departments to facilitate timely fit/sample approvals.
- Inspect all top samples for packing and trimming accuracy to prevent errors before shipment.
- Maintain daily communication with vendors, providing timely answers and solutions to their inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Educational background in Fashion Merchandising or relevant knowledge preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in the fashion garment industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of garment construction, fabric types, and styling is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and Korean is required.
