About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT). As a Deputy Program Manager - IT, you will play a critical role in leading and managing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and execute IT projects, including developing project charters, schedules, plans, dashboards, and requirements documents.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with technical and business personnel to allocate resources and timetables.
  • Understand and implement cybersecurity requirements related to the project.
  • Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures to improve organizational outcomes.
  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
  • Manage and maintain personnel recall and database, as well as employee training certifications and resumes.
  • Coordinate hiring, reassignments, and terminations with HR Business Partners and Recruiters as applicable.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 7 years of IT project management experience, leading complex and small IT projects.
  • Strong DoD subcontracting experience.
  • Skills in technical management, technical understanding, analyzing information, great communications skills, resource management, problem solving, understanding and developing budgets, coordination, strategic planning, quality management, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a mission-focused mindset that thrives on delivering positive outcomes.
  • PMI/PMP certification or ability to gain within 6 months.
  • Experience with ITIL and ServiceNow preferred.
  • BS/BA Degree.
  • US Citizenship required.
