About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT). As a Deputy Program Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and managing IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and execute IT projects, including communicating job expectations, monitoring and appraising job results, and coaching and counseling team members.
  • Execute information technology projects by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain project deliverables, including project charters, schedules, plans, dashboards, and requirements documents.
  • Brief senior leadership on a regular basis on the status of projects and coordinate with various technical and business personnel and coordinate resources and timetables.
  • Understand cybersecurity requirements related to the project and recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects or task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.
  • Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff and stakeholders, and provide quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Provide recommendations to the PM for resource operations management and ensure compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain personnel recall and database, maintain employee training certifications and resumes in the GDIT document repository, and coordinate hiring, reassignments, and terminations with HR Business Partners and Recruiters as applicable.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 7 years of IT project management experience leading both complex and small IT projects.
  • Strong DoD subcontracting experience.
  • Skills in technical management, technical understanding, analyzing information, great communications skills, resource management, problem solving, understanding and developing budgets, coordination, strategic planning, quality management, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, strong problem-solving and team-building skills, and a mission-focused mindset that thrives on delivering positive outcomes and takes pride in accomplishing goals on time and within budget.
  • PMI/PMP certification or ability to gain in 6 months, experience with ITIL and ServiceNow preferred.
  • BS/BA Degree.
  • Location: Onsite at Quantico, VA.
  • US Citizenship required.
