Hazardous Materials Program Manager

Position Overview:
The Hazardous Materials Coordinator is tasked with the comprehensive oversight, management, and implementation of the HAZMAT program in accordance with established principles, standards, and methodologies of hazardous materials management. This program must adhere to all relevant federal, DoD, state, and local regulations concerning environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee the management, administration, and operational aspects of a hazardous materials/waste program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
+ Experience must encompass the receiving, storage, distribution, handling, and disposal of various hazardous materials. At least one year of this experience should involve planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating a HAZMAT program for an entire command.
+ Maintain familiarity with federal, DoD, state, and local environmental protection regulations.
Qualifications:
+ A minimum of two years of relevant experience within the last four years.
+ Educational requirement: High School diploma or GED.
+ Certification in Hazardous Substance Incident Response Management (HSIRM) is required.
+ Completion of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) training is necessary.
+ A Top Secret Security Clearance is mandatory. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Security Clearance Requirements:
+ The position necessitates the ability to secure a Top-Secret clearance and sustain a favorable Tier 5 background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N is preferred.
