We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical/Scientific Director to join our team in a strategic scientific expert role. Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Medical Affairs Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive medical affairs strategies and tactics to secure insights, develop scientific value, and advance pipeline assets.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of medical affairs strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide Medical and Scientific Support: Provide medical and scientific support to internal and external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, clinicians, payers, and patients.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead Scientific Communication Plans: Lead the development and execution of scientific communication plans, including publication planning, medical education, and scientific exchange.
- Provide Input into Clinical Development Plans: Provide input into clinical development plans, study protocols, and study reports to ensure alignment with medical affairs strategies.
- Represent the Company: Represent the company at scientific and medical conferences, symposia, and advisory boards.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in all medical affairs activities.
- Monitor Market Trends: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and regulatory changes to proactively identify potential challenges or opportunities for assets.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree or equivalent: A medical doctorate degree or equivalent, with relevant therapeutic specialty in an academic or hospital environment preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical trial or medical affairs experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical trial or medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry or academia or equivalent, with 3+ years of experience preferred.
- Preferred 8-10+ years of experience in medical affairs: Preferred 8-10+ years of experience in medical affairs, with a focus on asset and/or pipeline strategy, field experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of clinical trial methodology: Knowledge of clinical trial methodology, data analysis and interpretation, regulatory requirements governing clinical trials, and experience in development strategy and the design of protocols.
- Proven leadership skills: Proven leadership skills in a cross-functional global team environment.
- Excellent communication skills: Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
