- Lead guest-facing farm programming classes, educating visitors on sustainable farming practices and greenhouse operations.
- Assist with garden tasks, including weeding, thinning, harvesting, planting, washing, and packing.
- Prioritize workload to maximize efficiency and production.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and guests to promote a positive and professional work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ seasons of experience in greenhouse production.
- Knowledge of greenhouse climate control systems, Integrated Pest Management products, and techniques.
- Ability to interact positively with advisory groups, management, co-workers, and the public.
- Ability to produce high-quality work in a timely manner, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities.
The Greenhouse Manager will be required to stand, walk, sit, seed by hand, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.
