The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of EHS programs and practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees and a positive impact on the environment. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, EHS&RM and will be a key member of the EHS team.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create and implement EHS programs and practices that align with corporate EHS&RM policies and procedures.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Lead EHS Training: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to ensure employees are aware of and understand EHS policies and procedures.
- Investigate Incidents: Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
- Develop and Maintain EHS Metrics: Develop and maintain EHS metrics to track and measure EHS performance.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into business decisions.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical discipline.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in EHS, with a focus on manufacturing operations.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as behavior-based principles, engineering, hazard recognition, risk assessment, and worker compensation administration.
