Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Summary:
Healthcare Talent Support is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. This is a temporary assignment with the potential to extend or become a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients in an inpatient setting.
  • Label and centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate equipment.
  • Update patient information and collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
  • Explain the process of venipuncture and specimen collection to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
  • Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
  • Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of Phlebotomy experience.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
  • Familiarity with specimen collection processing and blood sampling.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
