Blood Collection Specialist

Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification. A minimum of one year of work experience, preferably in healthcare, is required.
The Blood Collection Specialist will be responsible for preparing equipment, performing venipuncture, and collecting blood samples. They will also assist donors, clean and sterilize equipment, and maintain patient confidentiality.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, clinical protocols, and policies. They will also possess skills in efficient and effective draws, pleasant interactions with staff and patients, and preparing/maintaining records.
The Blood Collection Specialist will work in various outpatient and inpatient settings, exposing them to communicable diseases, sharp instruments, and cleaning chemicals. They must be able to walk, bend, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
