As a Medical Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing equipment, collecting blood products, and maintaining patient confidentiality. You will also assist donors before, during, and after donation, and instruct them on urine collection procedures. Additionally, you will clean and sterilize equipment, instruments, and work areas, and inventory supplies. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy certification, and at least one year of work experience in healthcare. You will be required to demonstrate competencies applicable to the position and maintain patient confidentiality. The work environment will involve moving among outpatient and inpatient settings, with exposure to communicable diseases, sharp instruments, bodily fluids, and cleaning chemicals. You will be required to walk to various settings, bend, and reach, and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional stress may be experienced in dealing with priorities. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Performs venipuncture, arterial, and capillary punctures on patients
* Identifies and labels specimens

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Phlebotomy certification
