Job Summary:

The Host/Cashier - Buffet Server is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests at Hard Rock International. This role is instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere and executing service that exceeds our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming guests and escorting them to their tables/booths in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Suggestively selling alcoholic beverages and specialty menu items to enhance the guest experience.
  • Inspecting the dining area and setting the table/booth when necessary to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
  • Practicing and observing safety rules and regulations in all dining areas to ensure a safe and secure experience for our guests.
  • Running all required reports for the server, POS cashier report, and batch report from the credit card machine to maintain accurate financial transactions.
  • Presenting checks and collecting settlements for all necessary items to ensure a smooth payment process.
  • Serving efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of at least 25 guests per half-hour.
  • Completing all opening and closing side duties, including stocking areas with necessary items and maintaining cleanliness of all dining areas.
  • Assisting with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables when necessary to seat guests in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining knowledge of the SevenRooms application on the iPad to book reservations, assign guest tables, add guests to the waitlist, and text for ready tables.
  • Picking up and returning bank and revenue to and from the cage or cash room, accurately verifying all banks received and returned.
  • Taking reservations when necessary and being knowledgeable of events to provide exceptional guest service.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
  • Two years of guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment.
  • Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and write English required.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check and drug screening.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
