Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide superior guest service at all Hard Rock Cafe Food and Beverage operations.
  • Maintain a pleasant and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Complete all opening and closing duties.
  • Assist bussers in setting tables with clean dishes, glasses, and flatware.
  • Present menu to guests, suggesting courses and drinks, and answering questions about food preparation.
  • Offer drinks and take food and beverage orders.
  • Have basic knowledge of all house and call liquor.
  • Serve meals to patrons according to established rules or etiquette.
  • Check for quality after each course.
  • Refill drinks when needed.
  • Maintain clean ashtrays.
  • Buss tables as needed.
  • Remove dirty dishes and glassware from guest tables.
  • Totals bill, presents check, collects settlement, and takes payment to cashier.
  • Assist bussers in clearing tables and dirty dishes.
  • Transport dish cart to and from service station.
  • Stock server stations with necessary items.
  • Assist bussers in maintaining public area cleanliness.
  • Re-supply provisions on guest tables and areas.
  • Adhere to sanitation standards.
  • Maximize profit and guest satisfaction through effective cost controls.
  • Adhere to three-star standards.
  • Work considerately with team members from all departments.
  • Check out with supervisor before leaving at the end of shift.

Qualifications
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
  • Ability to read and write English required.
  • Must have good communication skills and maintain a friendly, personable attitude.
  • Two years' guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment.
  • Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Additional Requirements
  • Must have valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and IGC Badge when working.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.
  • Must be able to stand 50% of shift, walk 45% of shift, and sit 5% of shift.
