Overview

Job Summary:

The Host - Noodle Bar Server is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests at the Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.


Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring they feel valued and respected throughout their dining experience.
  • Welcomes guests, escorts them to their tables, and ensures their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inspects dining areas, sets tables, and maintains a clean and organized workspace.
  • Practices and observes safety rules and regulations in all dining areas.
  • Responsible for all comps and reservation sheets, as well as running reports for servers and cashiers.
  • Presents checks, collects settlements, and ensures accurate financial transactions.
  • Serves efficiently, handling 25-35 guests per half-hour, and completes opening and closing side duties.
  • Stocks areas with necessary items during and after shifts, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of all food menu items and follows all policies and procedures regarding alcohol.
  • Responsible for abiding by cash handling policies and procedures, as well as accurately verifying banks received and returned from the cage or cash room.
  • Takes reservations when necessary and remains knowledgeable of events.
  • Performs other departmental-related duties and assignments as directed by management.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Attends seminars when needed.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
  • Must have strong mathematical skills and the ability to read and write English.
  • Two years' guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment is required.
  • Casino Food & Beverage experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
  • Must be bilingual in English and one Asian language (e.g., Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc.).

Knowledge of:

  • Must have the ability to anticipate guest and employee needs.
  • Must have good communication skills and maintain a friendly, personable attitude at all times.

Ability to:

  • Must have a valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and IGC Badge when working.
  • Must be able to stand 50% of the shift, walk 45% of the shift, and sit 5% of the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.
