Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to coordinate the Dean's activities for the School of Engineering at Brown University. This role emphasizes the power of interdisciplinary thought and recognizes that engineering is intertwined with every aspect of our lives.
Your Role and Responsibilities- Provide high-level coordination of the Dean's activities, including managing special projects, events, meetings, agendas, committee arrangements, and other initiatives.
- Serve as the central liaison between the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and faculty, students, staff, and other internal and external constituents.
- Project Management:
- Advanced ability to simultaneously manage multiple high-impact projects preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and use tact, discretion, and judgment while prioritizing task completion.
- Comfort taking initiative to implement necessary project and program tasks.
- Organization:
- Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
- Proven track record of taking Initiative and using sound judgment to independently problem solve and prioritize workload in a multi-task environment while maintaining careful attention to detail.
- Communication:
- Effective interpersonal communicator with ability to engage with diverse groups, including impactful donors and C-suite executives.
- Ability to elicit and communicate information in a clear, informative, and concise manner.
- Analysis & Research:
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information in a professional, discreet, and diplomatic manner.
- Team Player:
- Ability to work independently and interdependently with diverse teams.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the University's goals of cultivating a diverse and inclusive environment.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 per year.
