Engineering Diversity Initiatives Coordinator

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, including faculty, students, and staff, to develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the School of Engineering. This role requires exceptional leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Job Description
This is a part-time position, working 25.5 hours per week, and is eligible for benefits. The successful candidate will provide high-level coordination of the Dean's activities for the School of Engineering, serving as the central liaison between the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and various internal and external constituents. They will proactively manage numerous administrative functions, including managing special projects, events, meetings, agendas, committee arrangements, and other initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Associate Dean's special projects, events, meetings, agendas, committee arrangements, and other initiatives
• Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the School of Engineering
• Provide high-level coordination of the Dean's activities for the School of Engineering
• Serve as the central liaison between the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and various internal and external constituents
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years' experience in a related field. Prior executive-level project management or administrative experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have advanced interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including impactful donors and C-suite executives.
The successful candidate will also have excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and discreet manner. They will be proficient in computerized systems, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office software, and have experience with project management software. Additionally, they will have a strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the university community.
