At Bluewater Hayes Inc., we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Greater Bluefield, VA area. Our client is a leading manufacturer of electronic components and equipment for the energy sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing process improvements to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics. With a focus on lean manufacturing, you will optimize production flow, identify and implement 5S, standard work, set-up time reduction, material pull, and kanban systems.
You will manage capital projects to implement automation and improve processes, analyze equipment downtime to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs, and create or improve manufacturing documentation for operator instructions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing);
- 3+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing;
- High-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment preferred;
- Ability to train and mentor people, develop new leaders, and create a culture of safety, collaboration, and trust.
