Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at BlueSky Resource Solutions. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment, identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, and applying lean manufacturing principles to enhance quality and throughput.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a safe work environment by adhering to and encouraging safety protocols.
  • Actively identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance manufacturing quality and throughput.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles across the organization, championing 5S and Kaizen events to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.
  • Prioritize production support to ensure uninterrupted operation, helping teams meet production and shipment targets.
  • Conduct process validations, capability analysis (CPK), Design of Experiments (DOE), and PFMEA to improve processes.
  • Manage projects from planning through evaluation, ensuring timely completion.
  • Prepare and present engineering project takeoffs for budgeting and procurement purposes.
  • Provide thorough documentation to support the maintenance and operation of new equipment.
  • Design innovative concepts and systems within established budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and contractors to successfully complete projects.
  • Coordinate with plant management teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Stay informed of current trends and technological advancements, applying this knowledge effectively.
  • Support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives, sharing expertise across multiple plants.
  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to diagnose mechanical issues, design solutions, and implement corrective measures.
  • Redesign machine components to enhance reliability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; a degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a light assembly manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering methods, concepts, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Ability to think creatively and work independently with minimal supervision.
