A Day in the Life as an Electrical Sales Technician

As an Electrical Sales Technician, you'll start each day connecting with clients and offering them the best possible solutions for their electrical needs. You'll warmly greet each client, answer their questions, and listen to their concerns. Then, you'll complete thorough analyses and diagnostics, recommend the appropriate course of action, and explain the associated benefits clearly and accurately.

You'll handle financing, payment, and invoicing, and take pictures of existing work to accurately list materials needed. You'll enjoy meeting new people, working at new locations, and the fact that no two days are exactly the same.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of electrical technician experience
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Comfortable using tablet-based dispatch/sales software
  • A strong understanding of job cost and pricing guides
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and periodic drug testing
  • Any electrical industry-related experience is a plus
  • If you've got managerial experience, that's a bonus
