Job Summary:The Transitional Emergency Shelter Guest Host will work closely with our TES team to provide direct support to guests, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This includes promoting a clean and safe environment, connecting guests with recovery-based supports, and serving as a supportive resource for those seeking behavioral health or substance abuse treatment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support behavioral health treatment, recovery support, and prevention efforts by promoting alcohol and drug-free lifestyles, mental health promotion, and stigma reduction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times, including regular perimeter and fire checks.
- Connect guests with recovery-based supports, such as self-help groups, cultural events, and educational opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the TES team to provide care for guests who demonstrate low engagement in the case management program.
- Serve as a supportive resource for individuals inquiring about behavioral health or substance abuse treatment.
- Serve meals for guests and maintain a clean dining environment and community center.
- Maintain accurate documentation and logs as directed by the TES Manager.
- Work an irregular schedule, as needed, to ensure the smooth operation of the shelter.
