Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at Sound Community Services, Inc. (SCSI). As a key member of our residential recovery program, you will provide direct support and guidance to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders, empowering them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
About the Role:
- Provide daily oversight and support services to residents, including medication administration and documentation.
- Facilitate monthly activities and groups focused on life skills assessments and development.
- Assist residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, transportation, budgeting, personal hygiene, sex education, and other areas.
- Report changes in behavior or mental state to the treatment team and participate in safety drills.
- Maintain a caseload, providing Positive Rewards, activities, mentoring, discharge planning notes, and other ADL skills.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of behavioral health/human services-related experience is required.
- Previous experience working with individuals 18-25 years old who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Competency in technology, including email, agency intranet, and electronic client record systems, is required.
