Rehabilitation Therapist

Sound Community Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Social Rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing wrap-around services to our clients, empowering them to achieve growth and independence in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate virtual and in-person educational group activities, promoting engagement and participation among clients.
- Utilize various virtual platforms, including Microsoft Teams and GoToMeeting, to facilitate communication and group meetings.
- Deliver instruction and support to clients in all areas within the AXS/Oasis Center clubhouses, fostering a supportive atmosphere for growth and recovery.
- Work collaboratively with community-based resources and agencies to ensure access to essential resources for our clients.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of new programs, contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate services to ensure they are producing desired results, making adjustments as needed to optimize client outcomes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in behavioral health or human services, with a focus on working with individuals with mental health diagnoses and/or substance use.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proficiency in technology, including email, agency intranet, and electronic client records.
- Current valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification required.
Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and climb stairs. Regularly required to walk, talk and/or hear, with speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Occasional standing, climbing, balancing, lifting, and/or moving up to 25 pounds may be required.
