Associate Director for Student Success and Engagement

The Associate Director for MCAS: Student Success and Engagement is a key leadership position responsible for driving student success and engagement initiatives within the Multicultural Center for Academic Success (MCAS) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). This role plays a critical part in closing achievement gaps and fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- MCAS Student Success Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive student success plan to address the needs of underrepresented student populations.
- MCAS Advocates Program: Lead the execution of the MCAS Advocates program, which aims to provide support and resources to students from diverse backgrounds.
- DDI Summer Experience: Oversee the leadership, coordination, and execution of the DDI Summer Experience, a program designed to enhance student engagement and success.
- Supervision: Supervise the Assistant Director for MCAS: Student Development and provide guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
- Backup Role: Serve as a backup for the MCAS Director, ensuring continuity and stability in the leadership of the center.
- Education: Master's degree in multicultural education, higher education administration, intercultural communication, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience working in a diverse community and/or environment, preferably in multicultural education.
- Skills: Proven leadership skills, high level of interpersonal skills, knowledge of student development theory, and ability to maintain a culture of professional excellence and focus on student success.
