Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various states of health and illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans for patients
  • Provide direct patient care, instruction, and preparation for continuing care after discharge
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Administer surfactants to newborns and manage mechanical ventilation
  • Perform cardiac stress tests and interpret EKGs
  • Lead shifts in the absence of leadership and provide expert-level direct clinical care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Associate Degree Level CoARC accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapy
  • 6 months of experience as a Respiratory Therapist at Rutland Regional Medical Center
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Current VT State license
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Certification in ACLS, PALS, and NRP
  • Registration as a Respiratory Therapist
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic EKG interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management
  • Working knowledge of respiratory equipment and Heliox
  • Completion of clinical competency for endotracheal intubation and other required competencies
Compensation

$39.98 per hour; Hiring Bonus Agreement $10,000.00

Competitive differentials rates: $4.2 - Evenings, $8.00 - Nights, $4.7 - Weekends
