Grassroots is in search of a committed Accounting Specialist to enhance the financial and accounting functions of our organization. The successful applicant will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of pertinent experience. Familiarity with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online is essential, and expertise in managing contracts and grants accounting will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive invoices for accounts receivable
  • Oversee daily credit card transactions and reconciliations
  • Administer accounts payable and daily cash deposits
  • Assist in audit preparations and payroll management
  • Conduct both internal and external accounting inquiries
  • Supervise petty cash operations and accounts payable records
  • Engage in budget development while ensuring confidentiality
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least three years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
