Job Summary

The Chief Administrative Officer will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the administrative functions of Community Medical Centers, Inc. (CMC), including Human Resources, Communications, Development, and Administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative and Board Support
    • Oversee the operational management of administrative offices, processes, and functions to ensure systems and resources match the needs of strategic initiatives.
    • Support and supervise the administrative team.
    • Ensure effective communication, support, and training are provided to all members of the Board of Directors.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution
    • In collaboration with the CEO, Board, executive team, and staff, develop, monitor, and update a comprehensive corporate strategic plan.
    • Effectively communicate corporate strategic goals and initiatives internally and externally.
    • Lead the development of tracking systems and project management methodologies to measure progress on key initiatives and performance outcomes.
  • Human Resources
    • Provide direct leadership and support to the Human Resources team by developing strategies, identifying and addressing human resources issues, contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction.
    • Advocate for the organization's focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and demonstrate it as central to the achievement of overall strategic goals.
    • Focusing on examining and building a strong culture to align with CMC values with a keen eye on creating, improving, and sustaining staff engagement.
  • Benefits and Compensation
    • Provide oversight of all employer-provided and voluntary benefits; and ensure the cultural responsiveness of these structures and processes.
    • Oversee compensation functions, including base salary structure, compensation law compliance, job descriptions, job codes, equitable benchmarking, and maintaining pay equity.
  • Talent Development and Promotion
    • Collaborate with department leaders, anticipating future organizational talent needs to build internal bench-strength and preparing robust talent pathways.
    • Ensure that all processes are transparent, aligning with equity and inclusion goals, and developed in consultation with organizational leaders.
  • Employment Law and Risk Management
    • Support the HR Director in the development and administration of company policies and practices in compliance with corporate objectives and all applicable state and federal employment laws.
    • Work closely with General Counsel to minimize exposure and risk.
Requirements
  • Eight (8) or more years of increasingly responsible healthcare leadership experience, with a proven track record in strategic planning, communications, development, and human resources.
  • Ability to understand patient, consumer, and community needs.
  • Sound financial acumen through proven financial management experience.
  • Proven strength in critical thinking as demonstrated in strategy development, business planning, conflict management.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in one-to-one and group settings.
  • Proven record of selecting and developing high-performance teams.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategies that led to improved systems and efficacy.
  • Lead organizational efficiency efforts and exhibit exemplary time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills to understand and articulate diverse clients' needs and objectives; set and manage expectations and deliver as promised on time and on budget.
  • An Advanced Degree in Business, Health Care Administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
