Position Overview:
CAMA Alberta is in search of a Chief Executive Officer to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Facilitation and Organization of Chapter Board Meetings/Annual General Meetings (6 meetings per year)
  • Execution of Chapter Administrative Responsibilities
  • Development and Implementation of Membership Communications/Events/Activities
  • Financial Oversight
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for agri-food and marketing, to support
the growth of the Alberta Chapter. Proficiency in digital environments and familiarity with marketing
automation tools will be crucial for success in this role. Experience with non-profit boards and financial management
will also be advantageous. This is a compensated position.

Time Commitment:
Estimated at 10 – 15 hours per month throughout the year. While most tasks can be performed remotely,
candidates from Alberta are preferred. Certain activities may necessitate in-person participation.

Key Responsibilities:
Board Meetings/AGM:
Assist in scheduling and facilitating Board Meetings (Average - 7 per year, 1-hour each, via video conference)
Send meeting invitations and reminders with agendas (1 week prior)
Facilitate meetings and ensure effective time management

Administrative Duties:
Maintain a database of CAMA Alberta members
  • Manage automated notifications for membership acceptance and payment confirmations
  • Coordinate membership communications
  • Enhance and automate digital communication tools for improved efficiency

Membership Activities/Events:
Assist in organizing and promoting events
  • Aid in booking venues and confirming requirements
  • Support communications for event promotion

Financial Management:
Streamline financial processes and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with the Treasurer to oversee chapter finances
  • Ensure timely collection of membership and event fees
