Role Summary:
The individual will oversee critical tasks associated with professional and institutional billing, collections, and financial analysis. This position is essential for implementing strategies that ensure effective operations and sufficient cash flow to support both operational and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include processing claims for third-party insurance, managing cash applications, adjudicating claims, analyzing revenue, and resolving credit balances within accounts receivable. The specialist will maintain a portfolio of accounts to ensure successful claim processing on a monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers professional billing, collections, and revenue management tasks, including cash posting, adjustments, credit balance resolution, and revenue optimization for clinical service lines.
- Ensures operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in revenue management processes.
- Communicates billing, insurance, cash flow, and revenue management updates to leadership and senior management.
- Collaborates with various departments to address revenue management requirements.
- Engages in annual training and contributes to strategic planning initiatives as needed.
- Implements quality improvement initiatives in revenue management.
- Provides analytical insights and trend reports to supervisors.
Position Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - (Required), Associate's Degree - (Preferred)
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (Required)
